The Temple in the Forest register

Angkor is a temple city in the forest, towers of grey sandstone carved with dancers and faces, galleries of bas-reliefs, moats and causeways, trees whose roots have grown through the stone, moss and lichen on every surface. The pack puts the archaeologist there. Every value is sandstone grey-green, from pale lichen to dark wet stone, and a grey-green linen jacket over a stone-grey shirt joins the walls.

He stands before a wall of carved grey sandstone with moss soft behind him, rests a hand on the stone beside a great root over a doorway, and at half-length on the causeway's stone with the grey towers rising behind him beyond the moat.
