This pack borrows its register from a spring camp on the Mongolian steppe: the goat's underfleece in its own colour, oatmeal-grey with brown tips, spun so fine the knit has no visible stitch, only a soft cloud with a faint sheen along the fold. The wardrobe is undyed cashmere from neck to ankle — a turtleneck and wide trousers, a wrap coat over a dress, a cardigan with a skirt — against sacks of raw fleece and a felt ger the same oatmeal, so the picture reads as one oatmeal at every depth with the face its only other colour.
