Train Your Model Once, Render Chatelaine in About Ten Seconds

Studio-Quality Results Without a Studio Visit

Narcis generates a free preview of your chatelaine from one uploaded photo. The preview streams in seconds — a quick sketch, close but not you yet. If you like it, train your model once — 12 to 20 photos, we email you when it's ready — and the full pack of nine is €9,99, rendered from your model in about ten seconds a portrait. No signup before the preview, and no waiting for an email until you choose to train.

The pack is nine professional chatelaine rendered in portrait aspect ratio (2:3) — the shape LinkedIn banners, CVs, and print profiles actually use. Each image shows varied crops, expressions, and light angles so you have real choices, not nine identical files.

Photos are processed on European servers. We use your photo to generate your headshots; we do not share it with third parties.

The châtelaine register

The châtelaine is the lady of the castle — the ring of keys at her belt an instrument of command, not decoration. Stores, accounts, garrison rations, the solar's light-filled office: she ran the castle most days of most years, and this pack shows the running of it. Fitted thirteenth-to-fourteenth-century gowns in deep wool colors, a barbette and veil or netted crespine, the key ring worn like regalia, wax tablets and a seal at hand. Palette of deep green, madder red, cream veil, solar daylight.

Three situations carry it. The keys: standing at the solar's arched window with light full on her face, keys lifted in one hand as the day's first decision is weighed. The stores: in the undercroft between racked barrels and hanging stores, tallying against a wax tablet held by a steward, lantern light. The wall walk: pacing the rampart at evening with a cloak lifted by wind, the demesne fields patchworked gold below, keys swinging at the belt.

What the pack renders is photoreal — a real-looking photograph of you in a medieval dress, not an illustration. Your uploaded face carries through the solar, the undercroft, and the rampart alike, so the pack reads as one woman's day across all nine frames.

This is one of Chevalerie's medieval lady costume photoshoot packs — a genuine castle photoshoot built around household command rather than a generic chatelaine portrait pose. It's the wave's only medieval castle photoshoot cast female; every other medieval lady photoshoot angle in Chevalerie belongs to this pack alone.

How to photograph yourself for a châtelaine photoshoot

The AI adds the gown, the keys, and the solar-and-rampart light — a plain, well-lit selfie is the best photo for an AI portrait. The free preview tells you in seconds whether yours is enough.

  1. Even, soft lightFace a window with indirect daylight on you. Avoid overhead bulbs and phone flash — both flatten the face.
  2. Front or three-quarter angleCamera at eye level. No selfie-stick uplook, no shot from below.
  3. Face fully clearHair off the forehead, no sunglasses across the eyes — the veil and barbette need a clear read of your face.
  4. A composed, decisive expressionThe register is authority without armor — a level, capable gaze reads truer than a soft smile.
  5. Plain background is fineDon't worry about your own backdrop — the solar, the undercroft, and the rampart replace it entirely.

Frequently asked questions

Will it actually look like a châtelaine photoshoot, and like a real photo?
Yes on both. The fitted medieval dress, the ring of keys, and the castle solar and rampart come back detailed and unmistakable, and the output is photoreal — a real-looking photograph, not a painting or a cartoon.
What's the difference between the free preview and the paid pack?
The preview is one châtelaine portrait from your uploaded photo, shown in seconds. The paid pack is nine photos across the solar, the undercroft stores, and the wall walk.
Why keys and account tablets instead of a crown or a knight's escort?
Because that's what the job actually was. A châtelaine ran the castle's stores, accounts, and garrison rations day to day — the keys were the real instrument of command, not a decorative prop. This pack shows the running of a castle, not a fairy-tale princess pose.
Does it look like me, or a generic medieval lady?
It's built from your uploaded face, so all nine frames come back looking like you in the solar and on the rampart — not a stranger in similar dress.
How is this different from Midjourney or a costume rental?
Text-to-image tools generate a lady who matches a description; a costume rental gets you the gown but not the solar window or the undercroft stores. This pack anchors every frame to your face and builds the whole scene around you.
Can men use this pack?
The gown and keys styling are built for women — this is the wave's one women's world; every other pack in Chevalerie is cast male.
What if my photo is low quality or an old snapshot?
One clear, front-facing photo is enough to start. The free preview shows the likeness in seconds — if it's off, lighting is usually the fix.
Can I use this for a costume idea or D&D character art?
Yes — both are common uses. A castle-steward or noblewoman portrait built from your own face works well as reference for either.
What happens to the photo I upload?
Your photo is processed on European servers, used to generate your preview and pack, and never shared with third parties.

When the châtelaine pack fits

  • For a medieval lady costume idea before building the real gown and keys
  • For a profile picture with quiet, capable castle-command presence, not a phone selfie
  • Character art for a D&D noblewoman or steward-class character
  • For a gift — a framed portrait for anyone who loves medieval history
  • For a history or medieval-studies classroom illustration
  • For a dating profile with a distinctive, composed shot
  • For a book cover or author photo with a household-command tone
  • For anyone who's wanted the solar-window keys shot without the trip

About narcis

Most AI portrait tools ship every pose, profession, era, and aesthetic in one giant catalog. The output looks like every other AI photo on the internet — a glaze over a stock face. Narcis goes the other way. One tool, one job: turn photos of you into portraits worth keeping. Drop a selfie and your free preview streams in seconds — a quick sketch: close, not you yet. For portraits that are truly you, train your own model on 12 to 20 photos; it trains in the background, and we email you when it is ready. Train once, render everywhere — this pack, every other pack, and the Studio all come out of that one model, about ten seconds a portrait, and it stays yours to retrain or delete. Each pack is hand-curated against actual references — paintings, photographers, registers — and tested on real faces before it ships. See a free preview before you pay, not after. Packs are one-time — no subscription to buy one; Studio, the unlimited composer, is optional at €12/month and every pack includes 30 days of it. No template generator. Built and run by one team, on our own infrastructure.
