The Cognac Copper Photoshoot — Copper and Amber in the Charente

Nine photos of you in one setting

How your model is created from your photos

Every pack on Narcis, made with your face

Nine photographs of you in one setting: one pack of the Narcis catalogue.

Nine photographs of you, styled in the Cognac Copper register — a copper-brown leather jacket beside a still-room's polished copper alembic dome, a corduroy suit and amber silk tie at a copper-topped tasting table, a wool overcoat and caramel roll-neck at a black-walled cellar doorway, in portrait format. The nine vary in crop, expression and light, so there are real choices, not nine identical files.

The Cognac Copper register

A distillery in the Charente runs on copper — the onion-domed alembics on their brick furnaces, the cellars black with the angel's-share fungus, the amber spirit held up to a lamp by the master blender in a coat the colour of his own stills. This pack does what a visitor to the chai can only stand and admire: it dresses you in copper and amber and puts you among the stills that share that colour, the man of the house in the house's own metal.

The wardrobe is Cognac-house portrait editorial in still-room light — a copper-brown leather jacket over an amber knit, a rust-copper corduroy suit with an amber silk tie, a copper-brown wool overcoat over a caramel cashmere roll-neck. Hair combed, a beard trimmed. The palette runs polished copper, amber, caramel, rust and copper-brown, with one blue gas flame the only accent.

Tone on tone is the whole discipline, and it is harder than it looks: when the coat and the still share a hue, nothing separates them but texture, sheen and the direction of the light. Window light lets a still's mirror polish throw a stretched reflection while leather's grain holds a lower sheen; warm lamp light lets a glass of amber spirit throw back the light that corduroy's wales swallow whole; lantern light against grey cellar daylight reads a coat's melton and a roll-neck's cashmere as two mattes against a pipette's polished copper. Three takes carry the pack — the still-room's copper dome, the copper-topped tasting table, the black-walled cellar doorway — and in each one your face is the only colour anyone looks at twice.

The output is photoreal: a real-looking photograph of you in that world. It isn't a painting and it isn't a documented photograph of a working distillery with you inserted into it. The pack borrows the house's colour, light and wardrobe as costume and reference, the way a stylist borrows a mood board.

How to photograph yourself for a Cognac Copper photoshoot

Better source photos make better portraits.

  1. Even, soft lightStand near a window with indirect daylight on your face. The pack builds its own still-room light on top; a flat, well-lit selfie gives it the clearest face to work from.
  2. Front or three-quarter angleCamera at eye level, facing it or turned slightly. No selfie-stick uplook, no shot from below — the pack's framing is editorial, and a distorted source fights it.
  3. Face fully clearNo hats, sunglasses or filters in the source photo. A clear, front-facing photo is the best input for an AI portrait.
  4. Avoid a strong colour castDon't shoot your selfie under a coloured lamp or against a saturated wall. This is a monochrome outfit photoshoot in one hue — a neutral source face keeps the copper reading as copper.
  5. A level, considered lookThe register favours a blender's quiet attention over a broad grin. A calm, level expression blends more naturally into the portrait-editorial frames.

Frequently asked questions

Will it actually look like a real photograph?
Yes. The output is photoreal — a Cognac-house portrait editorial photograph, not a painting or an illustration — built from the documented details of the register: the leather jacket beside the copper alembic's polished dome, the corduroy suit at the copper-topped tasting table, the wool overcoat at the black-walled cellar doorway.
Is this a real photo of a Cognac distillery, or of me?
It's a portrait of you. The pack borrows the house's own copper and amber, its light and the wardrobe that suits them as a costume and visual reference; every frame is a portrait of you. It is not a documented photograph of a working still-room with you standing in it.
Can women use this pack?
The styling and sample set are built for men — a leather jacket, a corduroy suit, a wool overcoat — so it reads masculine.
Can I use this as a profile picture or on a dating app?
Yes. A single saturated hue reads instantly at thumbnail size, which is exactly what a profile grid rewards. Used honestly, as a stylised AI photoshoot rather than a claim of a real visit, it works well on any profile.
Can I use it for an invitation, a moodboard or a gift?
Personal use like this is fine — an invitation, a keepsake print, a moodboard for a spirits enthusiast. It isn't licensed for commercial resale.
Do I need any real copper stills or aged spirit?
Assembling a real copper-on-amber look in a working distillery is the expensive part; that's exactly what the photoshoot supplies.
Will the photos look like me?
Every photo looks like you, well photographed. If one is nearly right, say what to change, in your own words.
Do I have to write a prompt?
No. There is nothing to write: you pick a pack, and it is ready in seconds.
How many photos of myself do I add?
Between six and twenty, from different days and in different light, with your face clear. We check each one when you add it.
What happens to the photos I add?
They are used only to create your model, on our own servers in the European Union. They are not shared and not sold.

When the Cognac Copper pack fits

  • For a feed that needs one saturated, unmistakable colour instead of another neutral portrait
  • For a profile picture that reads at thumbnail size because it is essentially one hue
  • For anyone who has toured a Cognac house and photographed the stills instead of themselves
  • For a Charente-editorial look without booking the trip
  • For a wall print where the copper does the decorating
  • For a moodboard or vision board built around copper, amber and tonal dressing
  • For a gift for a spirits or whisky-and-cognac enthusiast
  • For a dating profile photo that is striking without reading as costume
  • For a phone or desktop wallpaper with real pigment depth in it
  • For anyone who has ever wanted to disappear into a colour and leave only their face showing

About narcis

Most AI photo tools put every pose, job, era, and style in one giant catalog. The photos all look like every other AI photo on the internet — a glaze over a stock face. Narcis goes the other way. One job: photos of you that look like photographs. You add at least 6 photos of yourself, and we create your AI model from them. Your photos are ready in a few hours, and we email you when they are. Then this pack and every other pack on Narcis can be made with your face. Each pack is curated against real references — paintings, photographers, places — and tested on real faces before it goes live. Built and run by one small team, on our own servers.
