This pack draws on Ingres's 1845 portrait of the Comtesse d'Haussonville — Louise de Broglie, twenty-seven and already a published novelist, painted in a steel-blue satin gown that took three years, one finger raised to her chin, a mirror behind showing the back of her own head.
