A Federico da Montefeltro Photoshoot, Urbino in Profile

Nine photos of you in one setting

How your model is created from your photos

Every pack on Narcis, made with your face

Nine photographs of you in one setting: one pack of the Narcis catalogue.

Nine photographs of you, styled after Federico da Montefeltro's Urbino court — a red velvet robe and conical hat or a scholar's red gown over armour, his intarsia studiolo, the twin-towered loggia, the library, in portrait format. The nine vary in crop, expression and light, so there are real choices, not nine identical files.

The Federico da Montefeltro register

This pack is built around the condottiere duke of Urbino in profile — the broken nose, the red hat and robe, the studiolo of intarsia, the palace of Laurana with its twin towers over the Marche. The value is the most recognizable profile of the Renaissance and the room it read in.

Photographically the register is a red velvet robe with a red conical hat, or a scholar's red gown over armour, a book, the Order of the Garter below the knee, the profile held to one side. Palette: red, gold, intarsia brown, pale Marche sky.

Three genuine facets carry the pack: the studiolo with its illusory trompe-l'oeil cupboards, a large book open on the lectern; the loggia between the twin towers with the Marche hills falling green behind, in a red gown worn over a breastplate; the library among manuscripts and a globe, a small boy in red at his side. The output is photoreal — a photograph of you in that world, not a copy of any Renaissance portrait, and it makes no claim to depict the historical duke himself.

How to photograph yourself for a Federico da Montefeltro photoshoot

Better source photos make better portraits.

  1. Even, soft lightStand near a window with indirect daylight on your face. The pack adds its own Piero-clear light later; a flat, well-lit selfie gives it the clearest face to build from.
  2. Front or three-quarter angleCamera at eye level, facing it or turned slightly to three-quarter. No selfie-stick uplook, no shot from below.
  3. Face fully clearHair off the face, no hats or filters in the source photo. A clear, front-facing photo is the best input for an AI portrait.
  4. An absorbed, severe expressionThis register favors quiet concentration over a wide grin — a still, focused look in your source photo blends more naturally into the studiolo and library frames.
  5. Plain background is fineThe studiolo, the loggia, and the library replace your own backdrop entirely. A plain wall behind you just helps the model focus on your face.

Frequently asked questions

Will it actually look like a real photo, and like Urbino's court?
Yes on both. The output is photoreal — not a painting — and the red velvet robe, the studiolo's intarsia, and the twin towers are built to read as the genuine Urbino Renaissance court, not a generic costume.
Is this a real photo of Federico da Montefeltro, or of me?
It's a portrait of you. The pack borrows the duke's court register as a costume and visual reference; every frame is a portrait of you and doesn't depict the historical duke himself.
Is this pack part of a series?
Yes — this is one of Etiquette's royal court photoshoot series, portraits from the courts of Europe between 1450 and 1935. This pack is Etiquette's Italian entry: the most recognizable profile of the Renaissance and the room it read in.
Can women use this pack?
The red-robe and armour styling are built for men and read male. Etiquette casts women elsewhere in the series, including in the same Italian courts.
Can I use this as a profile picture or on a dating app?
Yes — it's a striking, distinguished portrait that reads well on either. Used honestly, as a stylised AI photoshoot rather than a claim to be the historical duke, it works well on any profile.
Can I use it as a gift for a Renaissance or art-history enthusiast?
Yes — the intarsia studiolo and the profile pose read clearly to anyone who knows Piero della Francesca's paintings, which makes it a legible gift for that audience specifically.
Will the photos look like me?
Every photo looks like you, well photographed. If one is nearly right, say what to change, in your own words.
Do I have to write a prompt?
No. There is nothing to write: you pick a pack, and it is ready in seconds.
How many photos of myself do I add?
Between six and twenty, from different days and in different light, with your face clear. We check each one when you add it.
What happens to the photos I add?
They are used only to create your model, on our own servers in the European Union. They are not shared and not sold.

About narcis

Most AI photo tools put every pose, job, era, and style in one giant catalog. The photos all look like every other AI photo on the internet — a glaze over a stock face. Narcis goes the other way. One job: photos of you that look like photographs. You add at least 6 photos of yourself, and we create your AI model from them. Your photos are ready in a few hours, and we email you when they are. Then this pack and every other pack on Narcis can be made with your face. Each pack is curated against real references — paintings, photographers, places — and tested on real faces before it goes live. Built and run by one small team, on our own servers.
