The register runs head-and-shoulders (the jacket's high collar, the lamé's silver mesh, cool window light from the left), chest-up (the mask under one arm, the foil's guard at the hip, the parquet's warmth below), and wide (the long piste from its end, her small in full white, the room's own whiteness gathered on her). The mask under the arm is the silhouette; the foil held down is the gesture.
