Hideous Kinky follows a mother and her daughters through Marrakech in 1972. The pack takes her wardrobe, embroidered kaftans and headscarves, and the city's palette: saffron, indigo, ochre and a touch of rose. She wears the saffron and the indigo; the ochre stays on the walls and the rose is at her lips.
