Imlil in January is terracotta houses stacked on the Atlas foothills, snow settling on the walnut terraces, Toubkal held white above it all, the mule path still the only road. This pack's license is the village's earth itself as the ground, a rust shawl over the shoulders as the silhouette.

Earth and wool share one warm terracotta hue; the snow on the walls is the separation, and the walnut trunks along the mule path hold to a value behind the shawl's fringe. Camaïeu worked in earth rather than stone.
