The Iten red earth register
Iten sits on the lip of the Rift Valley escarpment in Kenya, a town of training camps where runners come to work on the high roads. The murram roads are rust-red and the block buildings are the same earth coloured. At dawn the equatorial light comes low and clear across the valley. The red of this pack is that earth and that dust, and a portrait in that colour reads as a man dressed in the ground his runners train on.
Photographically this is red earth on red: one rust for garment and wall, separated by the knit of a technical fabric, the block's rough texture and the dust in the low light rather than by contrast. The T-shirt is a rust technical knit with a clean neck over tan, and the face is the only other colour. Three settings carry the pack: before the red block wall of the physio room with the door's dawn light beside him, at the camp's gate with one hand on the red post and the murram road behind, and at half-length on the escarpment's edge with the red road and the valley's haze behind.
The output is photoreal: a real-looking photograph of you in the red earth of the camp.
How to photograph yourself for red earth running physio portraits
An ordinary selfie is enough. A few habits sharpen the likeness before the dawn light and the earth go on top.
- Even, soft lightStand near a window with daylight on your face. Avoid overhead bulbs and phone flash.
- Front or three-quarter angleCamera at eye level, facing it or turned slightly. No shot from below.
- Face fully clearHair off the face, no sunglasses and no heavy filters. A clear, front-facing selfie is the best start.
- A composed expressionA calm, steady look carries over best into all three settings.
- Plain background is fineThe pack replaces your backdrop, so a plain wall is enough.
Frequently asked questions
- Will they look like real photographs?
- Yes. Every photo is photoreal, a real-looking photograph of you.
- Is this pack for men?
- Yes. The T-shirt and styling are cut for men, so the pack reads that way. Other packs on Narcis suit other looks.
- How is this different from a generic AI headshot?
- Most generic tools default to one flat studio backdrop. This pack builds one running camp across three different settings.
- Can I use it for a clinic website or a professional profile?
- Yes, that is the pack's use: a profile, a website, a directory listing or a printed card. Check the terms before any resale of the images.
- Do I need several photos or is one enough?
- One clear, front-facing photo is enough. Even light on your face gives the clearest likeness.
- What if my photo is not great?
- Retake it in soft window light with your face fully clear. Light does more for the likeness than any other fix.
- What happens to the photo I upload?
- It is processed on servers in Frankfurt to generate your portraits.
- Who is shown in these images?
- Every image is AI-generated from your own face, which you chose to use. The pack is for adults aged 18 and over.
- Will the photos look like me?
- Every photo looks like you, well photographed. If one is nearly right, say what to change, in your own words.
- Do I have to write a prompt?
- No. There is nothing to write: you pick a pack, and it is ready in seconds.
- How many photos of myself do I add?
- Between six and twenty, from different days and in different light, with your face clear. We check each one when you add it.
- What happens to the photos I add?
- They are used only to create your model, on our own servers in the European Union. They are not shared and not sold.

About narcis
Most AI photo tools put every pose, job, era, and style in one giant catalog. The photos all look like every other AI photo on the internet — a glaze over a stock face. Narcis goes the other way. One job: photos of you that look like photographs. You add at least 6 photos of yourself, and we create your AI model from them. Your photos are ready in a few hours, and we email you when they are. Then this pack and every other pack on Narcis can be made with your face. Each pack is curated against real references — paintings, photographers, places — and tested on real faces before it goes live. Built and run by one small team, on our own servers.
All images are AI-generated. By using this service, you confirm you are 18+, that any face photo you upload is your own or used with explicit consent. Full Terms
