This pack draws on Marley's Ghost at Scrooge's doorway — chains of cashboxes, ledgers and keys, a bandage under the jaw, the pigtail and boots he died in.

Photographically the register is the ghost as an engraving: Leech's line rendered photographic, the chains worn like jewellery, the light cold and green where the candle doesn't reach.

The wardrobe carries it: a Regency tailcoat and waistcoat with a bandaged jaw and heavy chains hung with cashboxes for the doorway, the same chains at the fogged counting-house window, a ledger open on the stair.
