The Palm House register
The Palm House at Kew, beside the Thames, is a curved hull of white-painted iron ribs and ten thousand panes of glass, warm and dripping inside with palms that touch the roof, spiral iron stairs climbing to a gallery in the canopy. The pack puts the botanist in the glass palace. Two colours only: iron white and palm green, the green the larger share.
