The Raffia Summer takes its world from the old town of Ibiza in July: whitewashed walls going gold in late sun, a dry-stone wall, a fig tree, and the sea's glare beyond. The raffia, straw and sun-bleached cotton are a seventies island boutique's wardrobe, revived every summer.

Straw gold runs from bleached raffia to toasted wheat. A raffia-woven top over a straw-gold cotton skirt, with a woven raffia basket bag whose round shape at the hip is the silhouette. She stands before a whitewashed wall turning gold, holds the basket's handle in a lane with the cotton skirt's gold against the wall, and stands in the lane as whitewashed steps and the fig tree recede toward the sea's glare.
