The Mayerling register

This pack draws on Crown Prince Rudolf's final winter — the hunting lodge in the Vienna Woods, snow on its roof, the Hofburg apartment stacked with books and specimens, a melancholy carried inside a hussar's gold frogging. It's one of Etiquette's royal court photoshoot series, the courts of Europe from 1450 to 1935, and this is its late-Habsburg chapter: winter light, lamplight, an heir's dress at the end of a century.
