The Shiromuku, White on White at a Shinto Shrine

Nine photos of you in one setting

How your model is created from your photos

Every pack on Narcis, made with your face

Nine photographs of you in one setting: one pack of the Narcis catalogue.

Nine photographs of you, styled as a Shinto bride in the all-white shiromuku brocade kimono, across a raked-gravel shrine walk beneath a red umbrella, a vermilion torii gate, and a tatami interior, in portrait format. The nine vary in crop, expression and light, so there are real choices, not nine identical files.

The shiromuku bride register

This pack renders the Shinto bride's shiromuku at its most restrained and precise: all-white brocade woven with crane motifs, hair styled in the bunkin-takashimada with tortoiseshell kanzashi, the hood left off so the silhouette and the face carry the frame. A red umbrella is the single note of color against shrine cedar and grey gravel.

Three settings carry it: crossing raked shrine gravel beneath a red bangasa umbrella, white brocade luminous against dark cedar under overcast pearl light; beneath a vermilion torii gate, hands folded at the obi holding a small fan, crane brocade catching flat light; and kneeling on tatami before gold byobu screens with the san-san-kudo's three lacquer cups beside her, head bowed then lifted.

What the pack renders is photoreal — a real-looking photograph of you in a japanese wedding kimono, not a painting or an illustration, even at contemplative, near-monochrome restraint. This is a styled heritage-inspired portrait, not documentation of an actual Shinto ceremony — it holds up as a heritage-pride or bridal-inspiration shoot; presenting it as your own real wedding is a different use.

How to photograph yourself for a shiromuku photoshoot

Better source photos make better portraits.

  1. Even, soft lightStand near a window with indirect daylight on your face. Avoid overhead bulbs and phone flash — both flatten the face and are the usual reason an AI portrait misses your likeness.
  2. Front or three-quarter angleCamera at eye level, facing it or turned slightly to three-quarter. No selfie-stick uplook, no shot from below.
  3. Face fully clearHair off the forehead, no sunglasses. A clear, front-facing photo is the best photo for an AI portrait — it gives the model the most of you to work with.
  4. A composed, contemplative expressionThe register is soft grey and quietly ceremonial — a still, level look reads truer than a big grin against white brocade and cedar.
  5. Plain background is fineDon't worry about your own backdrop — the shrine gravel and torii replace it. A plain wall behind you just helps the model focus on your face.

Frequently asked questions

Will it actually look like a shiromuku, and like a real photo?
Yes on both. The white-on-white brocade, the red umbrella, the torii gate come back detailed, and the output is photoreal: a real-looking photograph of you, not a painting or an illustration.
Is this an accurate Shinto ceremony, or can I use it as my real wedding photos?
Honest answer: it's a styled heritage-inspired portrait, not documentation of a real ceremony. Post it as a heritage-pride or bridal-inspiration shoot — presenting it as your own real wedding is a different use.
Which looks does it cover?
Three: the shrine-gravel umbrella walk, the torii-gate portrait, and the tatami interior with the san-san-kudo cups. Nine portraits, three per setting.
How is this different from a real shrine wedding and photographer?
A real shiromuku shoot means sourcing the brocade kimono, styling the bunkin-takashimada hair, and booking a shrine, plus a photographer's day rate. This gives you the same white brocade and the same torii, for a fraction of the cost.
Can I use it as a profile picture or on a dating app?
Yes for a profile picture — it's a striking, contemplative shot. For dating, use it honestly as a heritage-styled portrait rather than implying it's your actual wedding.
Can men use this pack?
The kimono and hair styling are built for women, so it reads feminine.
Will the photos look like me?
Every photo looks like you, well photographed. If one is nearly right, say what to change, in your own words.
Do I have to write a prompt?
No. There is nothing to write: you pick a pack, and it is ready in seconds.
How many photos of myself do I add?
Between six and twenty, from different days and in different light, with your face clear. We check each one when you add it.
What happens to the photos I add?
They are used only to create your model, on our own servers in the European Union. They are not shared and not sold.

About narcis

Most AI photo tools put every pose, job, era, and style in one giant catalog. The photos all look like every other AI photo on the internet — a glaze over a stock face. Narcis goes the other way. One job: photos of you that look like photographs. You add at least 6 photos of yourself, and we create your AI model from them. Your photos are ready in a few hours, and we email you when they are. Then this pack and every other pack on Narcis can be made with your face. Each pack is curated against real references — paintings, photographers, places — and tested on real faces before it goes live. Built and run by one small team, on our own servers.
