The New City register

Songdo is a city built from nothing on reclaimed land by the airport: green-glass towers around a central park with a canal, water taxis, lawns, young trees and a convention centre of folded glass, all of it the colour of green glass and new grass under a wide sky. The pack dresses the planner in that green, a bottle-green wool coat over a pale green knit, every value from pale aqua to deep bottle.

He stands before a wall of reflective green glass with a specular on the brow, rests a hand on the steel rail at the canal's edge with a water taxi soft on the green water, and takes the park at half-length with the towers rising behind him and the canal running toward them, on the lawn's path.
