The Blue Aesthetic Photoshoot register

Krzysztof Kieslowski's Blue is a film about a woman starting over, and it gives the colour to everything around her: the water of a Paris swimming pool lit at night, a curtain of blue glass beads in a bare apartment, the blue window of a cafe. This pack photographs that world today, with the sitter in the widow's look of cropped hair and a plain blue cotton tee.

Three frames. Head and shoulders at the pool's edge, the water soft behind and the hair wet at the temples. Chest-up before the bead curtain, the beads out of focus. Half-length in the shallows with the tiles blue around. Every surface sits in a different blue, cotton, water, glass and tile, so the picture holds one hue without going flat.
