The Titania register

This pack draws on Fuseli and Richard Dadd's fairy-painting tradition for A Midsummer Night's Dream — the bank where the wild thyme blows, the bower of woodbine and musk-roses, the fairy queen's moonlit train. The value is Shakespeare's most-painted supernatural court at its documented detail.

Photographically the register is blue-silver moonlight through leaves for the bank, cold moon for the clearing, warm pink dawn for the bower; the palette runs moonlight silver, thyme green, musk-rose pink, moth brown.
