The vinyl corner is the flat's hobby made visible: a turntable on a low cabinet, a wall of records, a crate half sorted, one lamp doing all the work. It's the vinyl record photoshoot men actually search for, shot as a real evening rather than a staged prop set.

Photographically the register runs on lamp light — warm, close, directional — against a palette of record-sleeve colour and cabinet wood. Nothing else competes for the frame.
