This pack is one of Etiquette's royal court photoshoot series — the prince-bishop's palace at Würzburg, crowned by Tiepolo's staircase fresco of the four continents, the largest painted ceiling in the world. Photographically the register is mid-eighteenth-century Franconian episcopal court dress — a prince-bishop's violet silk cassock with a lace rochet and a red mozzetta, a gold pectoral cross, and a violet skullcap. The palette runs violet, gold, sky blue, fresco rose, and Franconian stone.
