This pack belongs to the camaïeu series — a named world built around one colour worn ton sur ton, the room dyed to match the wardrobe. Tadao Ando builds in one material and lets the sun do the rest: the Church of the Light at Ibaraki with its cruciform slit, the Chichu galleries buried on Naoshima, board-formed walls carrying their tie holes in a perfect grid. Grey is not the mood here. Grey is the building.

The wardrobe answers the wall rather than standing against it — a charcoal-grey wool suit with a grey shirt, layered grey cashmere over grey wool trousers, a slate-grey technical coat over a grey knit. Hair cropped. The palette runs charcoal, mid grey, slate, raw concrete and the darker grey concrete turns when it's wet; one line of white daylight is the only bright thing permitted in the frame.

Three takes carry the nine. Standing before a cruciform slit of white daylight in a bare concrete chapel, in the charcoal wool suit. Walking a long corridor whose tie holes run in a grid, in the layered grey cashmere. Standing under a concrete oculus in rain, the slate technical coat zipped over the grey knit.
