This pack draws on the last Duke of Burgundy in the 1470s, in the field rather than the ballroom — fluted Milanese plate armour with a gilt border, a crimson velvet surcoat with the Burgundian cross of Saint Andrew, the Golden Fleece collar worn over the breastplate, and a black velvet cap set with a ruby. This is a court that fought as it feasted.
