Escaramuza Adelita draws on the escaramuza — charreria's women's discipline: eight riders side-saddle at full gallop in vestido de escaramuza, crossing patterns in the lienzo. The dress descends from the soldaderas of the Revolution; the register is velocity in full skirts.
Three frames carry it. The gallop turns you side-saddle at full speed, skirt flared into a full circle, dust fanning from the horse's hooves.
