A Henrietta Maria Photoshoot, the French Queen of England

Nine photos of you in one setting

How your model is created from your photos

Every pack on Narcis, made with your face

Nine photographs of you in one setting: one pack of the Narcis catalogue.

Nine photographs of you, styled after Queen Henrietta Maria's Caroline court — white or amber satin with a pearl string in the Queen's House cube hall, devotional dress at the Somerset House chapel, silver-gauze masque costume on the Whitehall stage, in portrait format. The nine vary in crop, expression and light, so there are real choices, not nine identical files.

The Henrietta Maria register

This pack draws on the French queen of Charles I — pearls and satin, the Queen's House at Greenwich, the Catholic chapel at Somerset House, the masques she danced in before the war came. It's one of Etiquette's royal court photoshoot series, the courts of Europe from 1450 to 1935, and this is its Caroline chapter: soft Van Dyck light on the most delicate queen of the period.

Photographically the register is white or amber satin with a low lace-edged neckline, full ribbon-tied sleeves, tight side curls with a pearl string, a pearl necklace, a small cross, a blue silk mantle. The palette is white, amber, pearl, blue, and Greenwich stone — a tudor dress register carried with quick, gracious warmth.

Three scenes carry the pack: the Queen's House's black-and-white marble cube hall, the Somerset House chapel lit by altar candles with a rosary in hand, and the Whitehall masque stage in silver gauze and a wreath of stars. Each is a real facet of a queen who danced, prayed, and governed a household all at once, not one gown in three rooms.

The output is photoreal — a real-looking photograph of you in that world, not an oil portrait despite the Caroline-era references. It's a costume portrait; it isn't a depiction of any historical figure, and it doesn't claim to be.

How to photograph yourself for a Henrietta Maria photoshoot

Better source photos make better portraits.

  1. Even, soft lightStand near a window with indirect daylight on your face. The pack adds its own cool, clear Greenwich light afterward — a flat, well-lit selfie gives it the clearest face to build from.
  2. Front or three-quarter angleCamera at eye level, facing it or turned slightly to three-quarter. No selfie-stick uplook.
  3. Face fully clearHair off the face, no hats or heavy filters in the source photo. A clear, front-facing photo is the best input for an AI portrait.
  4. A quick, gracious expressionThis register favors lively charm over a flat stare — a bright, engaged look blends naturally into the cube-hall and masque-stage frames.
  5. Plain background is fineThe cube hall, the chapel, and the masque stage replace your backdrop entirely — a plain wall behind you just helps the model focus on your face.

Frequently asked questions

Will it actually look like a real photo, and like a genuine royal court?
Yes on both. The output is photoreal — a real-looking photograph, not a painting — and the amber satin, the pearl string, and the Queen's House cube hall are built to read as a genuine tudor dress Caroline court, not a generic princess costume.
Is this a real photo of Queen Henrietta Maria, or of me?
It's a portrait of you. The pack borrows her Caroline style — the low-necked satin, the side curls, the pearls — as a costume and visual reference; every frame is a portrait of you and doesn't depict the historical queen herself.
Can men use this pack?
The styling and sample set are built for women — the satin gown, the side curls, the pearls — so it reads feminine.
Can I use this as a profile picture or on a dating app?
Yes — it's a striking, gracious portrait that reads well on either. Used honestly, as a stylised AI photoshoot rather than a claim of royal descent, it works well on any profile.
Can I use it for a themed party or masque-inspired evening?
Personal use like this is fine — an invitation, a themed evening, a keepsake print. It isn't licensed for commercial resale.
Do I need an actual satin gown or pearls for this to work?
You don't need any of it in real life; that's what the photoshoot supplies.
Will the photos look like me?
Every photo looks like you, well photographed. If one is nearly right, say what to change, in your own words.
Do I have to write a prompt?
No. There is nothing to write: you pick a pack, and it is ready in seconds.
How many photos of myself do I add?
Between six and twenty, from different days and in different light, with your face clear. We check each one when you add it.
What happens to the photos I add?
They are used only to create your model, on our own servers in the European Union. They are not shared and not sold.
