The Hymettus Honey register

The thyme honey of Mount Hymettus, above Athens, has been sold since Solon — hives set into the hillside, a smoker at the ready, frames lifted dripping and carried down to the honey house, jars filled amber and set in the sun. It is Attica's oldest trade, still in the same gold today. This pack does what a visitor can only walk past and photograph: it dresses you in the honey's own amber and puts you among the hives, so the comb and the jacket share one colour.

The wardrobe is Attic hillside portrait in hard light — a honey canvas beekeeper's jacket over an amber linen shirt, an amber wool waistcoat over a honey cotton shirt, a honey linen jacket over an amber knit, hair grey at the temples with a beard.
