Khadi White
Nine photos of you in one setting
How your model is created from your photos
Every pack on Narcis, made with your face
Nine photographs of you in one setting: one pack of the Narcis catalogue.
Nine photographs of you, styled in white khadi cotton inside a lime-washed haveli — a daybed with white bolsters, a terrace hung with drying cotton, and a lime-washed lane outside, in portrait format. The nine vary in crop, expression and light, so there are real choices, not nine identical files.

The Khadi White register
This pack borrows its register from a lime-washed haveli courtyard: hand-spun, hand-woven khadi cotton, uneven in the thread so it takes light like paper and never like a machine cloth — the white of the freedom movement and of every Indian summer since. The wardrobe is khadi white from kurta to pyjama — a kurta and pyjama, a Nehru jacket over kurta, a dhoti with a shirt — against white cotton drying on terrace lines and white bolsters on the daybed, so the picture reads as one white at every depth with the face the only skin in the frame.
Photographically the separation is ton sur ton: garment and ground share the hue, and texture, specular highlight, and the direction of light carry it instead — hard side light raises a kurta's uneven slub against a bolster's tighter cotton, noon light burns drying cloth to paper-white against a jacket's denser weave holding a soft grey fold, low warm light rims a dhoti's edge against chalk-flat walls. One dark rudraksha thread is the only accent.
The output is photoreal — an actual-looking photograph of you in that courtyard, not an illustration or a fashion-catalogue render. It's a costume portrait; nobody else's likeness is in it.
How to photograph yourself for a khadi kurta photoshoot
Better source photos make better portraits.
- Even, soft lightStand near a window with indirect daylight on your face. The pack builds the courtyard's own hard summer light on top of your selfie, so a flat, well-lit source photo gives it the clearest face to work from.
- Front or three-quarter angleCamera at eye level, facing it or turned slightly to three-quarter. No selfie-stick uplook, no shot from below.
- Face fully clearHair off the face, no hats or sunglasses in the source photo. A clear, front-facing photo is the best input for an AI portrait.
- An unhurried, composed expressionThe haveli register favours a level, afternoon-easy look over a big grin — a composed expression in your source photo blends more naturally into the khadi frames.
- Plain background is fineDon't worry about your own backdrop — the pack's daybed, terrace, and lime-washed lane replace it entirely. A plain wall behind you just helps the model focus on your face.
Frequently asked questions
- Will it actually look like a real photograph?
- Yes. The output is photoreal — a genuine-looking haveli photograph, not an illustration or a fashion-catalogue render — built around khadi white in three real settings: the courtyard daybed, the terrace with drying cotton, and the lime-washed lane.
- Is this real khadi, or does the AI just paint it on?
- You don't need any actual khadi; that's what the photoshoot supplies.
- Is this pack built for men or women?
- The wardrobe and sample set here are built for men — a khadi kurta, a Nehru jacket, and a dhoti among them.
- Can I use this as a profile picture or on a dating app?
- Yes — it's a striking, well-composed portrait that reads well on either. Used honestly, as a stylised AI photoshoot rather than a claim of a real haveli visit, it works well on any profile.
- Will the photos look like me?
- Every photo looks like you, well photographed. If one is nearly right, say what to change, in your own words.
- Do I have to write a prompt?
- No. There is nothing to write: you pick a pack, and it is ready in seconds.
- How many photos of myself do I add?
- Between six and twenty, from different days and in different light, with your face clear. We check each one when you add it.
- What happens to the photos I add?
- They are used only to create your model, on our own servers in the European Union. They are not shared and not sold.

About narcis
Most AI photo tools put every pose, job, era, and style in one giant catalog. The photos all look like every other AI photo on the internet — a glaze over a stock face. Narcis goes the other way. One job: photos of you that look like photographs. You add at least 6 photos of yourself, and we create your AI model from them. Your photos are ready in a few hours, and we email you when they are. Then this pack and every other pack on Narcis can be made with your face. Each pack is curated against real references — paintings, photographers, places — and tested on real faces before it goes live. Built and run by one small team, on our own servers.
