The Double Denim register

Denim on denim has a name and a history — Levi's made the original Canadian tuxedo for Bing Crosby in 1951, and Nashville's Lower Broadway has worn it ever since, from Tootsie's Orchid Lounge to Robert's Western World, pearl snaps and all, on a boot-scuffed floor. This pack does what the sidewalk outside those bars can only photograph from a distance: it dresses you jacket and jeans in one blue and stands you in a bar and a street the same faded colour, the trucker jacket as a total look.

The wardrobe is Nashville street-and-bar editorial in neon and dusk — a faded denim trucker jacket over a chambray pearl-snap shirt and indigo jeans, a dark-wash denim western jacket over a denim shirt, a blue denim overshirt over a faded denim tee with light-wash jeans, hair swept back with a day's stubble. The palette runs indigo, mid-wash, faded blue and chambray, with a brass belt buckle as the accent against all that denim.
