The Scrooge register
This pack draws on Dickens' counting house and bed-curtained bedroom — the nightcap and the gruel, the fog of 1843 London, the morning after with the window thrown open.
Photographically the register is Dickens' fog: brown and gold, a single candle's circle of light, the morning's white as the picture's turn from dark to redemption.
