The hanji cream register
Bukchon is a hill district of Seoul with hanok houses, timber-framed and roofed in grey tile that steps down toward the city. Inside, the paper doors are hanji, the mulberry paper that glows when light comes through it, the pine beams are pale, and the floors are oiled yellow paper. A hanbang practice in such a house takes its colour from the paper. The cream of this pack is that paper and that pine, and a portrait in that colour reads as a practitioner dressed in the paper of her house.
Photographically this is hanji cream on cream: one warm white for garment and paper, separated by the ramie's slub texture and the even diffused glow of the doors rather than by colour. The jacket is a cream ramie cut with a curved collar, and the face is the only other colour. Three settings carry the pack: before the glowing paper doors with the pine beam above, at the hanok's wooden maru with one hand on a pine post and the courtyard beyond, and at half-length in the courtyard with the tiled eaves and the city's grey below.
The output is photoreal: a real-looking photograph of you in the paper light of the house.
How to photograph yourself for hanji cream practitioner portraits
An ordinary selfie is enough. A few habits sharpen the likeness before the paper light and the cream go on top.
- Even, soft lightStand near a window with daylight on your face. Avoid overhead bulbs and phone flash.
- Front or three-quarter angleCamera at eye level, facing it or turned slightly. No shot from below.
- Face fully clearHair off the face, no sunglasses and no heavy filters. A clear, front-facing selfie is the best start.
- A natural expressionA calm, steady look carries over best into all three settings.
- Plain background is fineThe pack replaces your backdrop, so a plain wall is enough.
Frequently asked questions
- Will they look like real photographs?
- Yes. Every photo is photoreal, a real-looking photograph of you.
- Is this pack for women?
- Yes. The jacket and styling are cut for women, so the pack reads that way. Other packs on Narcis suit other looks.
- How is this different from a generic AI headshot?
- Most generic tools default to one flat studio backdrop. This pack builds one hanok across three different settings.
- Can I use it for a clinic website or a professional profile?
- Yes, that is the pack's use: a profile, a website, a directory listing or a printed card. Check the terms before any resale of the images.
- Do I need several photos or is one enough?
- One clear, front-facing photo is enough. Even light on your face gives the clearest likeness.
- What if my photo is not great?
- Retake it in soft window light with your face fully clear. Light does more for the likeness than any other fix.
- What happens to the photo I upload?
- It is processed on servers in Frankfurt to generate your portraits.
- Who is shown in these images?
- Every image is AI-generated from your own face, which you chose to use. The pack is for adults aged 18 and over.
- Will the photos look like me?
- Every photo looks like you, well photographed. If one is nearly right, say what to change, in your own words.
- Do I have to write a prompt?
- No. There is nothing to write: you pick a pack, and it is ready in seconds.
- How many photos of myself do I add?
- Between six and twenty, from different days and in different light, with your face clear. We check each one when you add it.
- What happens to the photos I add?
- They are used only to create your model, on our own servers in the European Union. They are not shared and not sold.

About narcis
Most AI photo tools put every pose, job, era, and style in one giant catalog. The photos all look like every other AI photo on the internet — a glaze over a stock face. Narcis goes the other way. One job: photos of you that look like photographs. You add at least 6 photos of yourself, and we create your AI model from them. Your photos are ready in a few hours, and we email you when they are. Then this pack and every other pack on Narcis can be made with your face. Each pack is curated against real references — paintings, photographers, places — and tested on real faces before it goes live. Built and run by one small team, on our own servers.
All images are AI-generated. By using this service, you confirm you are 18+, that any face photo you upload is your own or used with explicit consent. Full Terms
