Frequently asked questions

Why are my iPhone photos in HEIC format?
Apple adopted HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) in iOS 11 as its default format. It stores the same visual quality as JPEG at roughly half the file size. The drawback is that older apps and non-Apple services often do not accept it.
Does the conversion reduce quality?
Standard JPEG compression introduces minor quality loss compared to the lossless HEIC original, but at normal viewing sizes the difference is not visible. You can raise the quality setting if you need maximum fidelity.
Can I convert multiple HEIC files at once?
The converter handles one file per run. Reload the page and repeat for each file.
Is it free?
Completely free — no account, no watermark. Download the JPG directly.
