The Uros floating-island register
The Uros islands are built entirely of totora reed, re-woven monthly to keep existing at all — a genuinely lived, working world on Lake Titicaca. This pack sets that living-craft register: golden reed, silver water, the double-hulled reed boat still working.
Three frames carry it. The golden island, springy fresh-cut reed underfoot, the puma-headed boat moored behind, water running silver to the Bolivian cordillera. Poling the balsa, wake spreading like beaten metal, flamingo-pink dawn light, the island cluster receding. Building the island itself, fresh reed bundles over the old, cook-fire smoke rising — labor as home.
The palette is reed gold, lake silver, cordillera blue — a reed-craft economy at 3,800 meters.
