The Launch Control register

The firing room at Cape Canaveral faces the pad across miles of flat scrub and lagoon through tall slanted windows. The programme now has a woman in the launch director's chair, and this pack takes that portrait seriously: the person who ran the count, at the window, once it is done.

Three photographs. Seated at her console, turned toward you, headset resting at the neck and the charcoal jacket open on the blouse. Standing at the slanted window with a hand on its steel mullion, the room dark behind and the glass bright. And at half-length from the back row, the window wall running the width of the frame with the distant launch tower small on the horizon.

Grey consoles, dark carpet and the window's steel frame are held to values. Coral is the one hue: a silk blouse, echoed once in the thin band of dawn on the horizon. The light is the flat, cool light of the hour before the day starts.

How to take source photos for the Launch Control pack

Better source photos make better portraits. A few things sharpen the likeness before the wardrobe and the setting go on top.

  1. Even, soft lightStand near a window with indirect daylight on your face. Avoid overhead bulbs and phone flash; both flatten the face.
  2. Front or three-quarter angleCamera at eye level, facing it or turned slightly. No shot from below, no wide-angle close-up.
  3. Face fully clearHair off the face, no hats or sunglasses. A clear, front-facing photo gives the most of you to work with.
  4. Shoulders back, jaw easyThe portrait is assured and quiet. A relaxed face and an upright posture in your source photos suit the launch director's register.
  5. Plain background is fineDo not worry about your own backdrop. The pack's three settings replace it entirely.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a real launch director?
No. The pack shows you in the role's setting. The firing room, the headset and the dawn are the world; the face is yours.
Why coral?
A single warm colour against grey consoles makes the face the brightest thing in the frame, and the dawn on the horizon repeats it once.
Does it work as a professional engineer headshot?
Yes. A tailored charcoal jacket over a silk blouse reads as senior and technical, and the room signals the field at a glance.
Will the photos look like me?
Every photo looks like you, well photographed. If one is nearly right, say what to change, in your own words.
Do I have to write a prompt?
No. There is nothing to write: you pick a pack, and it is ready in seconds.
How many photos of myself do I add?
Between six and twenty, from different days and in different light, with your face clear. We check each one when you add it.
What happens to the photos I add?
They are used only to create your model, on our own servers in the European Union. They are not shared and not sold.

  • A STEM headshot for a conference panel, a speaker page or a university profile
  • A portfolio photo for a systems, propulsion or operations engineer
  • A profile for a STEM mentoring programme or a scholarship application
  • A gift for a daughter, a student or a colleague who works near the launch pad

About narcis

Most AI photo tools put every pose, job, era, and style in one giant catalog. The photos all look like every other AI photo on the internet — a glaze over a stock face. Narcis goes the other way. One job: photos of you that look like photographs. You add at least 6 photos of yourself, and we create your AI model from them. Your photos are ready in a few hours, and we email you when they are. Then this pack and every other pack on Narcis can be made with your face. Each pack is curated against real references — paintings, photographers, places — and tested on real faces before it goes live. Built and run by one small team, on our own servers.
