The Chefchaouen Blue register
Chefchaouen has been washed in blue since the 1930s — lime and pigment renewed every spring across the medina's stair-streets, its doors and flowerpots, down to the Ras el-Maa spring where the water still runs through the town. It is the one town in Morocco that looks built from the sky down. This pack does what a visitor can only climb through and photograph: it dresses you in the medina's own periwinkle and powder blue and puts you inside the wash, so the stair behind you and the dress on your back share one colour.
