The Copenhagen Verdigris Photoshoot — Patina on the Roofline

Nine photos of you in one setting

How your model is created from your photos

Every pack on Narcis, made with your face

Nine photographs of you in one setting: one pack of the Narcis catalogue.

Nine photographs of you, styled in the Copenhagen Verdigris register — a verdigris wool coat beside a copper dome under flat overcast light, a sea-green silk shirt on a harbour quay bench in low afternoon sun, a patina-green quilted jacket on a copper church stair under directional daylight, in portrait format. The nine vary in crop, expression and light, so there are real choices, not nine identical files.

The Copenhagen Verdigris register

Three centuries of harbour weather have turned Copenhagen's copper roofs a single grey-green — the twisted spire of Vor Frelsers, the dome of the Marble Church, the tower of Christiansborg, all patinated to the same colour the city's design-week women now wear on purpose. This pack does what the skyline has been doing since the eighteenth century: it dresses you in that exact verdigris and puts you on the roofs and quays that already wear it, so the copper behind you and the coat on your back read as one surface.

The wardrobe is Copenhagen fashion-week editorial in Nordic light — a verdigris wool coat over a grey-green knit dress, a sea-green silk shirt with matching pleated trousers, a patina-green quilted jacket over a green wool skirt, hair blunt-cut or in a low clip. The palette runs verdigris, sea green and grey-green, with oxidised copper underfoot and one raw copper bracelet as the accent.

Tone on tone is the whole discipline here: when the garment and the ground share a hue, nothing separates them but texture, sheen and the direction of the light. Flat, silvery overcast light on a rooftop terrace lets the coat's brushed wool read soft against the dome's crusted oxide; low afternoon sun along the quay lets the silk shirt's sheen and the pleats' knife edges separate from a bench's chipped paint; daylight down a tower stair pulls the quilted jacket's channels from the rail's dead matte. Three takes carry the pack — beside the verdigris dome, seated on the quay, descending the copper stair — and in each one your face is the only warm colour anyone can look at.

The output is photoreal: a real-looking photograph of you in that world. It isn't a painting and it isn't a documented photograph of Copenhagen with you inserted into it. The pack borrows the city's colour, light and wardrobe as costume and reference, the way a stylist borrows a mood board.

How to photograph yourself for a Copenhagen Verdigris photoshoot

Better source photos make better portraits.

  1. Even, soft lightStand near a window with indirect daylight on your face. The pack builds its own flat Nordic light on top; a flat, well-lit selfie gives it the clearest face to work from.
  2. Front or three-quarter angleCamera at eye level, facing it or turned slightly. No selfie-stick uplook, no shot from below — the pack's framing is editorial, and a distorted source fights it.
  3. Face fully clearHair off the face, no hats, sunglasses or filters in the source photo. A clear, front-facing photo is the best input for an AI portrait.
  4. Avoid a strong colour castDon't shoot your selfie under a coloured lamp or against a saturated wall. This is a monochrome outfit photoshoot in one hue — a neutral source face keeps the verdigris reading as verdigris.
  5. A composed expressionThe register favours a level, unbothered look over a broad grin. A calm expression blends more naturally into design-week editorial frames.

Frequently asked questions

Will it actually look like a real photograph?
Yes. The output is photoreal — a fashion-week editorial photograph, not a painting or an illustration — built from the documented details of the register: verdigris wool beside a copper dome under flat overcast light, sea-green silk on a quay bench in low afternoon sun, a quilted jacket on a copper stair under directional daylight.
Is this a real photo of Copenhagen, or of me?
It's a portrait of you. The pack borrows the city's patina, its light and the wardrobe that suits them as a costume and visual reference; every frame is a portrait of you. It is not a documented photograph of the skyline with you standing in it.
Can men use this pack?
The styling and sample set are built for women — a knit dress, pleated trousers, a wool skirt — so it reads feminine.
Can I use this as a profile picture or on a dating app?
Yes. A single saturated hue reads instantly at thumbnail size, which is exactly what a profile grid rewards. Used honestly, as a stylised AI photoshoot rather than a claim of a real trip, it works well on any profile.
Can I use it for an invitation, a moodboard or a gift?
Personal use like this is fine — an invitation, a keepsake print, a moodboard for a trip you're actually planning. It isn't licensed for commercial resale.
Do I need any of this verdigris clothing in real life?
Assembling a real patina-matched look and the flight to Copenhagen is the expensive part; that's exactly what the photoshoot supplies.
Will the photos look like me?
Every photo looks like you, well photographed. If one is nearly right, say what to change, in your own words.
Do I have to write a prompt?
No. There is nothing to write: you pick a pack, and it is ready in seconds.
How many photos of myself do I add?
Between six and twenty, from different days and in different light, with your face clear. We check each one when you add it.
What happens to the photos I add?
They are used only to create your model, on our own servers in the European Union. They are not shared and not sold.

When the Copenhagen Verdigris pack fits

  • For a feed that needs one saturated, unmistakable colour instead of another neutral portrait
  • For a profile picture that reads at thumbnail size because it is essentially one hue
  • For anyone who has stood under Copenhagen's copper roofs and photographed the skyline instead of themselves
  • For a design-week or Nordic travel-editorial look without booking the trip
  • For a wall print where the patina does the decorating
  • For a moodboard or vision board built around verdigris and tonal dressing
  • For a gift for someone who loves Scandinavian design
  • For a dating profile photo that is striking without reading as costume
  • For a phone or desktop wallpaper with real pigment depth in it
  • For anyone who has ever wanted to disappear into a colour and leave only their face showing

About narcis

Most AI photo tools put every pose, job, era, and style in one giant catalog. The photos all look like every other AI photo on the internet — a glaze over a stock face. Narcis goes the other way. One job: photos of you that look like photographs. You add at least 6 photos of yourself, and we create your AI model from them. Your photos are ready in a few hours, and we email you when they are. Then this pack and every other pack on Narcis can be made with your face. Each pack is curated against real references — paintings, photographers, places — and tested on real faces before it goes live. Built and run by one small team, on our own servers.
