The River of Karst register

At Guilin a river winds between limestone peaks that rise straight from the rice fields like teeth. Bamboo rafts drift past, water buffalo stand in the fields, and the peaks recede into mist in grey-green layers exactly as the ink painters drew them. A resort of grey stone and timber sits on the bank. The pack puts the resort director there.
