The register is early-seventies Toei hard colour: a white kimono with a purple haori against snow and blood red, a black wide-brimmed hat and long black coat under Shinjuku neon.

One frame stands her in falling snow on a riverbank, a paper parasol upright, a spray of red drops on the white kimono.
