This pack borrows its register from a tannery's showroom: full-grain aniline black in every finish the tanner knows — matte nubuck, waxed pull-up, glazed calf — one black that separates only by how it takes light. The wardrobe is leather from jacket to boot, in a room of hanging black hides and black leather furniture, so the picture reads as one black at every depth with the face its only other colour.
